Dr. Shaukat Chowdhari

Dr. Shaukat Chowdhari is the Medical Director of University Pain Management Center. He is board certified in Anesthesiology and has a sub-specialty certification in Pain Management by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He did medical training at Cornell University Wyckoff Medical Center and a residency in anesthesiology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Nassau County Medical Center in Long Island, New York. Dr. Chowdhari completed a fellowship in Pain Management at the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of South Florida.

He is a diplomat of the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians and the American Board of Pain Management. Dr. Chowdhari also holds certification in Controlled Substance Management by the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians. Dr. Chowdhari is also a diplomat of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress for war veterans.

Dr. Chowdhari has been practicing pain management in the Tampa bay area for over 20 years. His expertise in Pain Management has enabled him to provide care to patients from all over Tampa Bay. His protocol ensures that his patients receive pain management treatment according to their individualized conditions. This includes medical management by opioid and non-opioid medication use, interventional pain procedures, physical therapy, psychosocial evaluation and urine drug toxicology screening. All of these modalities are provided in his medical office and state approved surgical facility.
